The cricket and tea developed in Britain during same time. Catherine of Braganza, wife of Charles II, took the tea habit to Britain around 1660, but it was not until the 19th century Britain that tea became as widely consumed as it is today. At that time tea was a new drink and was quite popular. It was related to the prestige and luxury in Society. So at that time players were also addicted to the tea and the second break in test match was started to called Tea-Break.
