Question by DoorsOfPerception: How long after using Kava can I drink alcohol? I broke open a gel-filled (extract) pill of Kava and put it in hot water to make a "tea". Dude, you can drink Kava WITH alcohol if you want (like they do in the Pacific Islands). It's not dangerous other than it increases the potency of both since Kava and alcohol both use the same receptors on your brain. I would say that, like alcohol, your body gets rid of about 1 "drink" an hour. If you had a cup of tea with Kava at 9:45, it was probably well out of your system by noon.

you should be fine, dont over drink, and if you are taking kava for the obvious reasons then maybe you shouldnt drink anyway
