Question by Bob: How do you order sweet tea at Mcdonalds? Is it a fountain drink like coke or do I have to say "sweet tea" Best answer:
Answer by ajdodge09
Normally at the drive-through.
Answer by Michael
Go to the register and say, " sweet tea me bitch" should work . I've personally done it plenty of times

Say sweet tea the cup is way bigger and it is surprisingly cheaper. And then depending on the McDonald's if the fountain drinks are not behind the counter u can just fill it up with soda :)
Answer by TheCovertConverser
If at the window, ask for sweet tea. If it's behind the counter, ask for sweet tea. If the sweet tea tank is not behind the counter and it next to the Coke machine, it's the same price as a Coke, so just say "fountain drink".~ Though sometimes I mess up and say "root beer, please" without noticing that I have to get it myself. ^^' So saying "sweet tea" is fine in any situation at McDonald's. :)

They have dispensers of sweet and unsweet so all you have to do is ask, whether at the drive thru or inside.
Answer by Kristen
Just ask for a sweet tea
Answer by mccoyblues
It isn't a "fountain" drink per se because it isn't dispensed from the same machine as the soda. Tea is fresh brewed and stored in it's own container, just like coffee. If the drinks are self serve the tea should be sitting next to the soda machine.

When you order you ask them for "sweet tea" plus the size you wish
Answer by my my metrocard
The sweet tea is the same size as a large fountain drink. You can ask for a sweet tea and they'll give you the styrofoam cup or you can ask for a large drink and just fill the plastic cup with tea. They're the same price.
Answer by Roy
You really can't, sweet tea is made from scratch where the surgar is added to the hot tea. You can't just add sugar to cold tea, not the same
