Question by Margo: What is your favorite type of tea? Herbal "teas" included. Favorite brand? Personally, I love Twining's Earl Grey and The Republic of Tea's Peach White Tea. The Republic of Tea is rather expensive, I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative with the same quality. Best answer:

GreenTea mangosteen or mangosteen green tea. I think it's from Good Earth but I have to doublecheck. Very good.

Jasmine. It makes an excellent iced tea too. I can't remember the brand right off hand, but it's the brand that comes in little green boxes.

Celestial Seasonings - Red Zinger So very tasty. I drink it every season, I don't care if it's a hundred degrees out. And they support farmers. :) Sam

Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow Tea Company, and Stash Tea Company. My favorite flavor from the first is sugar plum while it is mint from the last two.

Yogi Tahitian Vanilla Hazelnut and Stash Chai are wonderful teas. In winter you can't beat Bigelow's Constant Comment. I love Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice any time and especially with plain green teas. Some of these can be purchased from Amazon for reduced prices. I'll drink almost anything laced with Jasmine and Oolong teas.

I don't really go for fruit-flavored tea, but I have heard many bad things about the Republic of Tea. I'd suggest trying the bulk bins, but those don't often have white tea let alone peach-flavored anything. Stash?

My favorite is Tiequanyin Anxi "Monkey Picked" Oolong tea. I love the deep, richly sweet flavor and the very fresh, stone-fruit aroma. Soft yet complex, this wild-grown Tieguanyin is oxidized slightly less than the traditional 50-70%, more like the modern-style Tieguanyins. This is the type of oolong that is often referred to as âMonkey-picked Oolongâ, one of the more confusing terms in all of Chinese tea vernacular. I tend to believe the tales of tea-plucking in such remote places and on such rugged terrain that it required the assistance of trained monkeys to access the plants. The fable is also considered to be a possible antithesis to the white tea of the Emperors, plucked only by white-silk-gloved-virgins. Who knows definitively about the lore, but the tea tastes fantastic! No favorite brand though.
