Regular green tea has caffeine, and lots of it. I recommend you drink decaf herbal teas like Celestial Seasonings. They are delicious and come in so many flavors. Peppermint & lemon zinger are my favorites! :-P Some tea brands make decaf green and white teas. I suppose that would give you the health benefits of green tea without the buzz. You don't need to play a guessing game because the ingredient list on the side of a box of tea tells you what kind of tea leaf, if any, is in the mix. Herbal teas don't use real tea leaves and instead you'll see stuff like chamomile, linden, hibiscus, orange peel, etc. These things don't contain caffeine. Avoid black tea; it's got loads of caffeine! Pretty much anything labeled "breakfast tea" is black tea, and so is Earl Grey. Trust me, I know from experience, that stuff will give you a crazy jolt. (Not that I'm complaining...) Steeping time affects caffeine content for all kinds of tea; if you leave it for 5 or more minutes, black tea can have the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee. The regular green-tea drinks have enormous amounts of caffeine, so be sure to look for decaffeinated forms of green tea. Wal-Mart carries all sorts of different green teas. I have tried the kind in little packets you stick in warm water and they are pretty good (and cheap). But also checkout the aisle with the chips and pop as they have diet green tea there by the gallon or so.

Are you talking brands? Cause I dont know the brands I drink I can't read kanji. But I have found the imported, more expensive ones are more enjoyable. I would also try English Breakfast tea with cream/milk and sugar. It has a more similar taste to coffee (if that is what you're drinking) and not as much caffeine

Those items you listed are over $ 5.00 unless you know how to make the homemade version or buy from bulk which will be difficult to find. I think the item you are looking for is the "Creamy Sugar Free Diabetic Matcha Green Tea Latte & Smoothie Mix" under the "Island Teas" brand name. Its mostly just sugar and water. There is some green tee extract for the flavor and to pass it off as green tea drink. I would recommend getting the tea bags or leaves if you want real green tee

There are two common types of green tea powder. Did yours dissolve completely? I know that sounds like a strange question to ask, but it would indicate which type you had. The type you probably had, made by Lipton and other big companies, is instant green tea with flavorings. I don't know much about instant tea, but I presume it's made like instant coffee by dehydrating liquid tea. My package of Lipton green tea powder lists "instant green tea" as the first ingredient, before the flavorings and sweeteners, but that doesn't indicate proportions, so I have no idea how much actual tea is in it. The other type is traditional powdered tea, made by grinding tea leaves into a flour-like powder. Matcha, the Japanese ceremonial tea, is the most common tea of this type. Measure and cut the paper. Spray oil into the pan. Today I am using a pump oil spray, you can use butter if you want. And brush to apply oil evenly. And place the paper inside of the pan. Voila. Then, sift the bread flour and set aside. Bread flour is made of hard protein wheat. It is coarser than cake flour. Now prepare two bowls and separate the eggs. Then on medium speed, beat the egg whites until hard peaks. Then add sugar little by little. Keep beating until soft peaks. This is French meringue. And add egg yolks one at a time into the batter and beat until combined. Then pour in the flour and with a spatula, stir until just moistened. Add one spoon of hot water into honey and mix well. Choose light honey such as Acacia honey, not dark honey. The flavour of dark honey is too strong for castella. Then add in the batter and stir until combined. Now pass the batter through a sieve. But most Americans don't like the taste, so what you get here is a green tea drink(that Lipton green tea) loaded with sugar and other additives, sold under the disguise of a health drink. As an avid tea lover, I can tell you that the only difference between plain green tea and the mandarin pyramid lipton kind is that of flavor. I'm sure both contain green tea and are good for you and will benefit your health equally. this is my opinion. Also, the mandarin pyramid bags (which are pretty cool) allows the tea leaves and mandarin parts to expand more. Also the bags are made of nylon I believe. To me, this makes a little difference in taste, but not much.. To me, it's all marketing. I personally like all types of tea. 100% plain green tea, flavored green tea, Sencha (japanese), white tea, flavored white tea, chai tea, earl grey, etc etc. I wish I knew the brand of "imiported tea" you mentioned. There are so many that I think you should start out with whatever you might like best. Then you can have different kinds after a while. Just remember, they're all good for you.

White tea From Wikipedia, Bai Hao Yinzhen from Fuding in Fujain Province, widely considered the best grade of white tea Bai Mu Dan, widely considered to be the second grade white teaWhite tea is tea made from new growth buds and young leaves which have been steamed or fried to inactivate polyphenol oxidation, and then dried. The buds may be shielded from sunlight to prevent formation of chlorophyll. White tea therefore retains the high concentrations of catechins which are present in fresh tea leaves. Green tea is made from more mature tea leaves than white tea, and may be withered prior to steaming or firing. Although green tea is also rich in catechins, it may have different catechin profiles than white tea. For white tea the little buds that form on the plant are covered with silver hairs that give the young leaves a white appearance. The leaves come from a number of varieties of tea cultivars, the most popular are Da Bai (Large White), Xiao Bai (Small White), Narcissus and Chaicha bushes. According to the different standards of picking and selecting, White teas can be classified into a number of grades, further described in the varieties section. Produced almost entirely in China and being a speciality of the province Fujian, white tea is steamed and dried almost immediately after harvesting (in some situations in the fields themselves). It is possible that this method of minimal processing accounts for this tea's added benefits. Roderick H. Dashwood, an Oregon State University biochemist, has stated that the polyphenols, called catechins, are altered through subsequent processing to other teas (green, oolong, and finally black). Kit Chow notes in All The Tea In China that in hard times, very poor Chinese homes would serve guests boiled water when they could not afford tea. Host and guest would call the water "white tea" and act as if the tradition of serving guests tea had been carried out as usual. (This particular usage is related to the fact that plain boiled water is called "white boiled water" in Chinese). Health benefits One recent study demonstrated that it removes or prevents even more tumors from the stomachs of specially bred cancer-susceptible rats than green tea, or caffeine alone (although all three were shown to have benefit). Varieties of white tea Chinese white teas Bai Hao Yinzhen (Silver needle) The highest grade of the Bai Hao Yinzhen should be fleshy, bright colored and covered with tiny white hairs. The shape should be very uniform, with no stems or leaves. The very best Yinzhen are picked between March 15 and April 10 when it is not raining and only using undamaged and unopened buds. Fujian Province, China. Bai Mu Dan (White Peony) A grade down from Bai Hao Yinzhen tea, incorporating the bud and two leaves which should be covered with a fine, silvery-white down. From Fujian Province, China. Gong Mei (Tribute Eyebrow) The third grade of White Tea, the production uses leaves from the Xiao Bai or Small White tea trees. Shou Mei (Noble, Long Life Eyebrow) A fruity furry white tea that is a chaotic mix of tips and upper leaf, it has a stronger flavor than other white teas, similar to Oolong. It is the fourth grade of White tea and is plucked later than Bai Mu Dan hence the tea may be darker in color. Hi, you do not make White Tea, nature does... you buy it and drink it, I have tasted it, very subtle and nice.... sort of creamy and flowery was my impression... and apparently better for you than even GREEN TEA! I would send you some but I live in Germany... I am sure you can find it locally though...

I have found it for sale with all the other kinds of tea in my local grocery store. Celestial Seasonings makes White Tea bags with pear flavoring . While it's steeping, I add a squirt of honey, so it will dissolve, and serve it iced.
